QIGONG FLOW FOR THE WINTER SOLSTICE (30 MIN)
The winter solstice is the shortest, darkest most yin day of the year. This means that yin is at its peak. The energy of yin is a condensing, sinking energy. Qigong Flow for the Winter solstice emphasizes movements that "sink" and "rise" to align and balance your energy with the Yin energy of Winter.
The movements in this routine are inspired by Bear Qigong because bears are the spirit animal of Winter and know how to conserve their energy through hibernation. In addition we will focus on tonifying the Yin in the body (the Kidneys), balancing fire and water to keep warm and activating the Central Meridian Channel to keep your energy field strong and connected to the stars.
Although the Winter Solstice occurs on December 21st, you can do this routine for the whole winter (December and January) to support and nourish your Yin Qi.
