Yin Yoga Happy Liver
This deeply nourishing Yin Yoga routine targets the Liver and Gallbladder meridians—the energetic pathways associated with the Wood Element.
Yin Yoga has its roots in Dao Yin Qigong, the ancient practice of guiding and directing Qi through the body. By gently stretching and releasing the fascial trains surrounding the meridians, we create space for Qi to flow more freely. Because fascia is a Yin tissue that responds gradually, we hold each posture for approximately three to five minutes. Variations are offered throughout so you can adapt the practice to your body and experience level.
This routine supports the Wood Element on every level:
• Physical: Releases tension, improves flexibility, and supports the Liver and Gallbladder meridian pathways.
• Emotional: Helps transform frustration, irritation and anger into patience, kindness and emotional ease.
• Energetic: Encourages the smooth flow of Liver Qi, releasing stagnation and restoring a sense of vitality and balance.
• Spiritual: Connects you with the Wood virtues of vision, purpose, creativity and the courage to move forward.
Slow down, soften and give your body time to open. Through patient, sustained stretches, this practice invites your Qi to flow freely—cultivating a happy Liver and the fresh, expansive energy of Wood.
